About
Multiwiki Field Researcher Rev. R. S. Tucker, Esq., evaluating a coffee machine in Waubaushene, Ontario.
I am Ryan Tucker, a late-20's geek originally from
Des Moines, Iowa. In 1998, I moved to Rochester in an attempt to escape the monotony of the midwestern lifestyle. I seem to have succeeded.
By day, I'm a full-time student at Monroe Community College, majoring in
Electrical Engineering Technology. By night, I chill in my quaint Swillburg home with my wife, Dawn, and our three cats: Brat, Punk and Bob.

2008-05-07 01:44:25 By the way, thank you for your hard work on migrating us to a new version of Sycamore on a new server. —DaveMahon
2008-05-13 19:01:34 I figured you were just getting back at me for the acl, um, experiment. (Yeah! That's the ticket!) —DaveMahon
2008-05-13 19:21:57 Had I known, I would have preemptively bought the beer! It never ceases to amaze me just how many problems can be solved with the generous application of food and frothy beverage. —DaveMahon
2008-05-14 08:33:29 If nobody has started tackling the layout issues, let me know what you've found and I'll start working on them. —DaveMahon
2008-06-16 21:52:05 You're welcome Ryan, I enjoy doing it, the photos are a nice way to contribute to the wiki —DottieHoffmann
2008-06-20 22:24:20 If you need a table saw, talk to me. I have one I'm looking to offload. —DaveMahon
2008-06-21 08:17:47 It's not particularly shiny. More like clean and grey with a 10" blade that rips though stuff like nobody's business. Plus, along with the miter and reciprocating, it's one of the three essential workshop saws! Plus, replacing the blade means a trip to the toy hardware toy store. I'll have to see if I can clear it off to take a picture. For that matter, where's the camera.... —DaveMahon
2008-06-22 00:39:10 But of course. The cool thing is that so many things can act as tables though: rabbit cages, pond liners, piles of 2x4's, old clothes, old shoes. The possibilities are endless.
A bit of advice for your winter bathroom project: Don't get one of those lovely fiberglass 3-piece shower liners and attempt to get it around a narrow 90 degree turn in the stairs without some serious measuring and planning. Otherwise, it could get stuck in place and the only way to dislodge it is to take a reciprocating saw and cut off a corner. Not that I'm speaking from personal experience... it was a friend! Yeah - a friend - not me! <shifty look> —DaveMahon

2008-07-07 17:52:46 Thanks for the example of dealing with spam (RoboCall, Antmore Technologies, etc). As a newbie, I was reluctant to take such actions, just did some documenting on Talk pages. Have been enjoying contributing this last week while recovering from surgery. —BradMandell
2008-07-13 05:04:53 That's because I just went live about a month ago! I see that you are the type of guy I look for when it comes to some freelance work. Too bad we got off on the wrong foot because I hire people with your expertise and I usually pay double the going rate so that I can get quality work at a moment's notice! Not to mention that you live in my neighborhood, I appreciate a consultant that can be readily available and close by! Oh well good luck with whatever it is that you do! —InstantCallBlast
2008-07-22 16:30:27 Putting <^> at the start of every cell forces that cell to be vertically aligned at the top. You can also use <valign=top> and just about any other HTML 4 attribute, including bgcolor, align, width, rowspan and colspan. —DaveMahon
2008-07-25 22:02:23 Sorry. My sesquipedalian proclivities concomitantly with my facile adoption of circumlocution intermittently encumbers comprehension of my written disquisition. —DaveMahon
2008-07-26 08:14:33 I edited Geohashing for ease of understanding but now the Summize macro is not generating anything - I think it was before my edit. I did a compare and can't see what I might have broken, could you take a look, since you added it originally. Thanks —BradMandell
2008-08-05 13:07:03 I use 5GB before I put my pants on in the morning. Interpret that as you will. —RottenChester
2008-08-13 21:44:05 I lied in my edit description of the Colonial Belle. It's gmap.js where we're not escaping (or dropping) single quotes when we assign a value to map_url. —DaveMahon
2008-08-14 19:11:10 Change var map_url = ''; to var map_url = ""; and the problem should go away.
2008-09-04 14:15:47 Thanks for the pic advice. I am wondering how we can confirm that an image is free to use.
2008-09-15 14:28:36 How's school going for you? (I have some time to write as I wait for a file search to complete so I thought I would check in) —DaveMahon
2008-09-25 07:50:52 Hi Ryan, Could you ADOPT your old RyanTucker/ToDo and prior user page RyanTucker pages, don't know if they have anything unseen depending on them. Thanks (;>} —BradMandell
2008-10-18 21:32:32 Thanks Ryan! :) —PeteB
2008-11-01 22:15:50 Hi Ryan, could you ADOPT Trip Planner - I fixed the Bus Route 1 link in it, but I don't know where to link this one in. Thanks (:>} —BradMandell
2008-11-15 12:00:56 Good Morning Ryan. Would you like me to make a quick tutorial page on the Search change and link it into your tip? Also I just added RocWiki to my IE searches and can include that process in the Tutorial page.
IE Search Add
Use in the " Create Your Own" dialog - "
http://rocwiki.org/Front_Page?action=search&inline_string=TEST" and "RocWiki"
2008-11-15 16:38:39 Would it be possible to use bulleting on the entries from Twitter so we would get indent as well as bullets below the color coded header. Maybe make it an option so the entries like yours above don't get funky. I tried putting the Twitter directly on the Webster page, but it may appear a little "social networky" for some, so I tried putting it on the Talk page, maybe that is a better placement?? —BradMandell
